Hello! Welcome to MRKH Canada, a not-for-profit organization founded by MRKH advocate, Ashley Clark. We are so excited to have brought on a team of passionate, driven individuals to continue Ashley's original mission to support, educate and empower those born with MRKH Syndrome in Canada and beyond. MRKH Canada is currently the only patient-run resource for those with MRKH in Canada! In addition to annual events, virtual meet-ups and fundraisers, we raise money to fund other MRKH initiatives like mailing MRKH Identification cards across the globe to make communication easier between MRKH patients and doctors who may not be familiar with the syndrome, and advocating to raise awareness about MRKH to make it more well-known among the general public and especially the medical community to make it less taboo and a better healthcare experience for those living with MRKH.
OUR MISSION
MRKH Canada's mission is to educate, empower and support those diagnosed with Mayer-Rokitansky-Kuster-Hauser Syndrome (MRKH) within Canada and beyond through advocacy, events and other organized initiatives. Our organization stands as an advocacy group, support network and resource for both the medical community and those diagnosed with, or supporting those with MRKH. We aim to increase the knowledge and decrease the shame and stigma attached to the condition, as well as to improve the quality of life and care for those living with the syndrome.

THE MEANING BEHIND IT...
At first glance it’s a bud, positioned at the centre of a spiral to represent the winding journey of how we come to be diagnosed with MRKH. This bud is full of potential for beauty and growth. From an anatomy perspective, the bud can be seen as a fallopian tube meeting its ovary, to signify the female reproductive organs we do have. When experiencing grief, what we have is often clouded by what we don't. And, finally, the dot dot dot to represent what isn’t there, or isn’t there in part; the commonality linking us together. MRKH Canada is here to provide connection and resources, where buds come to meet other buds to bloom together, growing to love themselves, in a community encouraging resiliency and empowerment.
